We regret to announce that the final leg of the Peter Case/Paul Collins spring tour will be cancelled. Despite a promising start, much excitement in the local press,  and a batch of highly publicized SXSW dates, Paul Collins was sent home from the tour early last week.  Shortly thereafter, we received news that the last batch of shows would be cancelled altogether, including the performance scheduled for April 19th at The High Watt. 

Information on receiving refunds from Ticketweb.com are available below:

1) Notify TicketWeb within 48 hours before the new event date, either by e-mail to info@ticketweb.com, or by telephone at 1-866-777-8932.

If you did not receive tickets via mail, you must send your sale confirmation number (listed above) to refunds@ticketweb.com.

Your tickets or confirmation number must be received at least 24 hours prior to the event in order for a refund to be issued.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, My So-Called Band’s performance on Saturday, April 14th has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 12th. All tickets purchased for the original date will be honored on May 12th. Refunds are available through the point of purchase (most likely, Ticketweb.com). 

Tickets are currently on sale for the May 12th concert right here. 

Unless you specifically elect to receive a refund in advance, tickets purchased for April 14th will be honored.

Due to illness, The Civil Wars have canceled tonight’s performance at The Cannery Ballroom.

You have the option of obtaining a refund for your tickets or receiving a free upgrade for a wristband for the entire Americana Music Conference (a $50 value). This wristband gains you admission to all venues (The Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, The Basement, The Rutledge, & The Station Inn) for the entire 4 day festival.

RIYL: Local Natives, Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse

When/Where: Tuesday, October 11th @ 9:00 (Mercy Lounge)

Why: LA-five piece GROUPLOVE walks an audio tight-rope on their debut LP, Never Trust A Happy Song. I’m always impressed when I find a new indie pop band- especially one so young- that strikes such a nice balance of precious/precocious. They’re affecting without coming across as affected; that is to say, they can come across as sincere without being all self-imporant. In short, the hooks are strong, the arrangements are playful, and songs make the perfect soundtrack to the waning days of summer. Trust us on this one: catch this show tonight, or else be kicking yourself six months from now when they’re selling out Cannery.
